When it comes to tanning and health, young women still aren’t getting the message, according to a new survey from the American Academy of Dermatology.

Ronald L. Moy, MD, FAAD, president of the American Academy of Dermatology, said:

“Our survey underscores the importance of educating young women about the very real risks of tanning, as melanoma – the deadliest form of skin cancer – is increasing faster in females 15 to 29 years old than in males of the same age group.

About J&J prostate cancer drug Zytiga

The agency announced on Thursday that the FDA has approved J&J unit’s Zytiga, a pill that targets a protein called cytochrome, to treat late-stage of prostate cancer in patients, who have received prior chemotherapy. Protein cytochrome P450 17A1 (CYP17A1), which has been made by Centocor Ortho Biotech, plays significant role in the testosterone production.

What are blood clots?

Blood is a liquid that flows within blood vessels. It is constantly in motion as the heart pumps blood through arteries to the different organs and cells of the body. The blood is returned back to the heart by the veins. Veins are squeezed when muscles in the body contract and push the blood back to the heart.

Patients struck down between 6am and midday suffer a fifth more damage to their heart muscle compared with those who have an attack later on.
